Vernacare's Senset Skin Cleansing Foam has been awarded sole supplier status by NHS Supply Chain for a third year running, and is now available at an additional saving of up to 6% from 1st December 2010.
Senset is clinically proven to help maintain the integrity of healthy skin, eliminating the need to rub a patient's skin and therefore helping to prevent subsequent skin breakdown. Due to its high levels of emollients and moisturisers, the cleansing foam gently loosens and lifts soiling, making cleaning easier and more comfortable for the patient.
The cleansing foam eliminates the need to use soap and water, which can often result in the drying and breakdown of skin. Its accurate directional spray gives nurses better control over application and helps prevent spillages associated with traditional bed baths. Senset also contains an inbuilt silicone barrier that protects skin from the acid effects of urine, and aids the prevention of dermatitis.
The product is PH balanced and contains a long lasting deodorant, helping to ensure a more pleasant experience for both patient and nurse.
