For over 40 years Vernacare has specialised in the design, manufacture and supply of products to hospitals which reduce the risks of cross infection, through implementing a single use maceratable system to manage human waste disposal.  This cost efficient, environmentally friendly system is now used in over 90% of all UK Hospitals and more than 40 countries worldwide.

The significant concerns surrounding Healthcare Acquired Infections (HCAIs) such as MRSA and Clostridium Difficile (C Diff) has resulted in a massive rise in the use of our single-use system throughout the world, and its advantages are clear to see.

Vernacare manufactures over 150 million pulp mouldings per year and  has emerged as the tried and trusted face of pulp manufacturing in the UK. All of  our products are manufactured to BSI standards and are subject to stringent quality checks.

We supply the entire UK and are a top 30 supplier to the NHS via NHS Supply Chain, priding ourselves on delivering quality products that customers can trust. This long standing relationship has allowed us to grow and introduce new innovative products into our ever-expanding product portfolio.

We are the only company who currently manufacture the complete waste disposal system and our Vernacare Technical Services team provides nationwide engineering support to hospitals and care homes across the UK.

New products are high on our agenda, with infection control being our core focus on all new projects. In recent years we have seen the introduction of many new products to the Vernacare range, all aimed at helping eradicate HCAIS and have a dedicated new product development team in place who focus on providing innovate solutions to the healthcare market.

We maintain close links to all healthcare regulatory bodies to ensure we are constantly aware of the latest policies and procedures. We also work  closely with healthcare practitioners in the field who influence product development, ensuring that we provide solutions to real issues that make a real difference.
